I love making this reel every year because I get to scroll through all the beautiful outdoor experiences I’ve had over the last year. Earth Day is a day to celebrate our home, the one thing we all have in common.

The Northern Lights, cave tubing in Belize, vineyards in Tuscany, sea turtles in Hawaii, and flora of the Midwest are all highlights from this past year.

It was over 60 degrees in WI today, which is basically a heat wave this time of year. I know it’s Fool’s Spring and we’ll definitely shave at least one more cold snap - and probably snow - but I love that first feeling of spring in the air.

One of my favorite activities while traveling is to visit botanical gardens, nature preserves, and other native plant spaces to admire the flora and fauna.

I recently went on a family trip to Arizona and my activity request was to visit @dbgphx (Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix). Although I consider myself decently well-traveled, it was my first time to the desert.

We went late in the day so we were able to experience a beautiful cactus-filled sunset while walked through the gardens. It was definitely one of my favorite botanical garden visits.

I’d LOVE to go back during cactus bloom time.

After way too many days of frigid cold, it’s sunny and in the TWENTIES (hey, if you live in the north, you know this is basically a heat wave right now 🤣). Stepping outside and feeling the sunshine on my skin has me daydreaming about summer weather and beautiful blooms.
